Become a hero 🦸 Hopscotch has partnered with a First Aid course provider, accredited by the Health and Welfare SETA and Department of Labour to prepare you for your overseas experience – consider it your hidden super power while you travel abroad.


The course includes three modules spread across two full days of in-person training. Choose the nearest location for your in-person training and a course provider will contact you to coordinate the attendance dates that suit you best.

The course takes place in four locations:
Johannesburg: 2 Selbourne Road, Unit 813, Hammets Office Park, Johannesburg North, 2188.
KwaZulu Natal: 48 Hannah Rd, Congela, Durban, 4013 (STC-SA Durban Campus).
Cape Town: Unit 18GC Waverley Business Park, Wyecroft Road, Mowbray, 7925.
Port Elizabeth: 46 6th Avenue, Newton Park.

Some details:

Cost: R 975
Duration: 2 Full days
The theory and practical will be done with an experienced facilitator, who'll provide
you with the course material. You'll be expected to participate in different practical
exercises and scenario simulations.

After the course you'll be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of emergency scene management
  • Demonstrate an understanding of elementary anatomy and physiology
  • Assess an emergency situation
  • Apply first aid procedures to a life-threatening situation
  • Treat common injuries

Here's what the course covers:

This NQF Level 1 first aid course is Accredited by the Health and Welfare SETA and Department
of Labour
and we recommend that all childcare minder and teachers attend,
as the other two first aid courses (NQF level 2 and 3) have a SETA entry requirement which requires applicants to attend a SETA accredited HIV AIDS course before attending the first aid NQF level 2 and 3 courses.

First aid knowledge does make a difference, so go ahead and book your first aid
NQF level 1 course with our accredited partners who can get you qualified.

Once the course has been booked and paid, no refunds will be made. But, you can move your training session out to an alternative date (max 3 date changes are the limit).
